Inspired by this video: • Optimod 8400
People seem to like this 8400. And, I must say, that I do like it as well. So inpired by this I decided to see if the sound could be created with an Optimod 8600. Couple of things:
1) I decided to run the 8600 in MX mode. Although this is very much different than the backend of the 8400 it was somewhat of an extra challenge for me. I wanted to see if the texture could be replicated while exploiting the newer processing structure.
2) This is just for fun. It is silly to try to copy the sound of 8400 on a newer Optimod in the first place. And, it just points our that the 8400 in the other video is very well tuned. So this is more a testimony to that than anything else. But I don't mind sharing settings.
