Bass Fishing Kent Lake in Kensington Metropark Michigan | Explore Brighton Howell Area 2025

In today’s video, I teamed up with Explore Brighton Howell Area to fish one of Southeast Michigan’s most scenic and fish-filled lakes — Kent Lake in Kensington Metropark!

This lake has it all — largemouth bass, smallmouth, northern pike, panfish, and more. I launched from the West Boat Launch (my go-to) and got on a solid bite early. From explosive pike strikes to heavy largemouth hooksets, this was an action-packed day on the water.

We even wrapped up the day with my good buddy Will Shier landing the biggest fish of the trip — the perfect way to end a killer day outdoors.

Along with the great fishing, Kent Lake offers incredible scenery, peaceful wildlife (including a bunch of swans), and easy access for anglers of all styles — kayak, shore, or boat.
