Fleishman Is in Trouble with Taffy Brodesser-Akner and A.O. Scott

The New York Jewish Book Festival opened with a screening of the first episode of Fleishman Is in Trouble followed by a conversation with Taffy Brodesser-Akner, author of Fleishman Is in Trouble and the creator, writer, and showrunner of the FX series on Hulu, and A.O. Scott, film critic at The New York Times.

Taffy Brodesser-Akner is The New York Times bestselling author of Fleishman Is in Trouble and a staff writer for The New York Times Magazine. She has also written for GQ, ESPN the Magazine, and many other publications.

A.O. Scott has been a film critic at The New York Times for more than twenty years, reviewing thousands of movies and writing essays on cinema, literature, and many other subjects. His book, Better Living Through Criticism, was published by Penguin in 2016.
