Well, here we go! I've put off uploading flute improvisations for far too long. There are some genuine excuses for not doing so, the main one being that I much prefer to play in front of the small tunnel that has faithfully provided such an exquisite sound. Unfortunately, in recent times everything seems to conspire against my doing that: there is either too much wind, too much rain, too many mosquitoes, too much traffic noise, no time to get out there, or just a simple lack of inspiration. Feeling very guilty for not giving my viewers the content they want more often, I finally bit the bullet and decided to just use my 6th-floor office on Hallym University campus here in Chuncheon, Korea. The sound is not really that satisfying, but I've tried to make up for that in post-production.
This is an improvisation performed on a Jonah Thompson A-minor pine flute in my very Spartan office space. I've added a little 'canyon ambiance' to compensate for the lack of a naturally reverberant space - hence the title.
