The Icom IC-7300, released in 2016, was one of the first SDRs. Some 5 years later one found its way to the VK3FS shack. The pictures do the talking in this clip and shows the moments the IC-7300 found its way to the bench where it was ceremoniously updated with the then-latest firmware (1.40) and put into service back in March 2021.
Getting the settings right for FT8 use on the IC-7300 is the same as for the IC-9700 and IC-705. The settings can be found at https://bit.ly/3qMCNnE
