In a rain-interrupted match at Perth, Australia came out on top, beating India by 7 wickets (DLS) to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

India batted first and could only muster 136/9 in 26 overs, hampered by early collapse and challenging conditions.

Australia’s target was revised to 131 under the DLS method (due to rain) — and they chased it down smoothly in 21.1 overs, finishing at 131/3.

For India, the top-order failed: losing 3 wickets in the powerplay blew the match open.
