For a while, the proposed new River District, combining businesses and a new neighborhood,
was the most exciting development project on the city’s growth chart. But now it has suddenly seemed to have fallen apart. What happened? Is there any chance for revival? We will examine.
We will also look at a loan settlement which could give the city of New Orleans relief from its current debt problems. Plus, the good news is that the federal government shutdown is over, but there are still serious questions about healthcare.
This, plus a look at the weekend’s runoff elections and bond issues, plus a remembrance of the career of Paul Tagliabue, the former NFL commissioner who was a genuine hero of the Katrina recovery, are on the agenda for tonight’s Informed Sources:
