Agents shift the question from “where is the data stored?” to “where is the decision made?” In the previous model, humans were the reasoning layer. But now it is shifting to agents. The organizational brain was distributed across human heads, reconstructed on demand through conversation. Now we want AI systems to make decisions, and we've given them nothing to reason from. We're asking models to exercise judgment without access to precedent.
