Iveta Bartošová (April 8, 1966 Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem[1] – April 29, 2014 Prague-Uhříněves) was a Czech singer who became the Golden Nightingale for the first time in 1986, when she abdicated from the throne after the nine-year reign of Hana Zagorová. She repeated the victory in 1990 and 1991. In the years 1987–1989 and 1999–2000, she took second place in the female singer category, and was third in 2001–2003. She also won several times in the television poll TýTý. The Czech Academy of Popular Music nominated her twice for the Anděl Annual Music Award. She was among the representatives of the so-called middle current. On April 29, 2014, she committed suicide by jumping under a train.
