Bangkok is the most visited city on Earth, yet five minutes from one of its busiest attractions, an entire silk story often goes unnoticed.
Across the canal from the Jim Thompson Museum is Ban Krua, one of the oldest Muslim communities in Bangkok and the birthplace of modern Thai silk. While millions admire the beauty of the fabrics and the museum, very few cross the canal to discover where it all started.
