🔴Comping the jazz waltz: the basics and beyond

🎵Playing rhythm guitar in 3/4 time is something that isn't often covered. In today's lesson I break down the basics, starting from simple rhythms to ones which are more syncopated. The lesson covers:

🔴 Basic 1,2 and 3 beat rhythms and rests
⚫️ 8th note rhythms and rests
🔴 Dotted notes
⚫️ Rhythms to apply to standards in 3/4

Overall the aim of this lesson is to help you count and feel these rhythms to the point where you don't have to think about them. This month I cover the chords to three songs in 3/4, you could try playing these tunes with the rhythms covered in today's lesson.
