KAIST Declaration for Diversity and Inclusion

KAIST publishes the 'KAIST Declaration for Diversity and Inclusion’ to foster a community
where all members respect diversity and embrace one another.

The KAIST Social Inclusion Committee has been working on the declaration since January 2022,
gathering input from a variety of KAIST members as well as student groups, human rights organizations, and outside experts.

The committee shared this declaration at a meeting of the president and all department heads,
and after gaining consensus, it produced a video and released it online on October 10, 2022.
In keeping with the goal of respecting and embracing one another,
various KAIST members participated in the video and read the declaration.

We hope that this initiative, which got its start at KAIST, will get support from more educational institutions,
government agencies, and businesses will join this movement, which started at KAIST.
