Maqueen Plus V3 - more advanced Projects

In today's video I explore more advanced projects on the Maqueen Plus V3 Robot. I start with simple servo control to implicate a forklift or a catcher then on to HuskyLens projects for using April Tags and taking photos. I also look at extensions adding M5Stack ToF (Time of Flight) Unit to detect obstacles and a Flash Light for the camera.

Maqueen Plus V3 uses the microbit computer but there is a possibility of using a Linux based DFRobot's Unihiker M10 has its edge connector is pin compatible with microbit. DFRobot state on their wiki that it is compatible with the Unihiker Board K10 but there is no detail on this.

Both Maqueen Plus V3 and HuskyLens come from DFRobot and I covered the simple projects in my previous Youtube video.

In the projects I cover today I replace the Matrix Laser Ranging Finder with the HuskyLens as it is difficulty mechanically to fit both on the same vertical posts. While I have not completed a project on using Huskylens for line tracking and do demo projects on using April Tags and using HuskyLens as a digital camera under remote control. April Tags are far better for robot applications compared to other coding schemes such as bar or QR codes.

There is plenty of space on Maqueen Plus V3 to add extensions. I am using Combinations of hardware from DFRobot, Lego Technics, Makeblock and M5Stack.

I made mechanical structures with the Lego and Makeblock components and both of these are compatible with the Lego hole spacing (8mm) while I use electronic modules from M5Stack for the ToF and Flash Light. There is also ample support on Maqueen for servos, I2C and GPIO devices.

For software I am using Microsoft Makecode for microbit with extensions for Maqueen Plus V2 & 3, HuskyLens, servos and ToF. I control the Flash Light with simple Digital Pin controls from Makecode. I also use a software RTC (Real Time Controller) to set and get the current date and time and these can be overlayed onto HuskyLens's LCD.
