It's been a long time since we last visited part of the North South Commuter Railway project here in the town of Malolos.
At the end of the month of August, let's take a look at the current state of the project.
The Sumitomo Mitsui construction company LTD was awarded by our government for NSCR Contract Package-02. They will do the 6 km. segment of the project here in the town of Malolos. The total number of piers that will be built is 123 in the Capital of the province of Bulacan. And compared to the typical girders along the North-South Commuter Railway, there is a difference in the design of the girders here. Because the piers or poles have a span of 50 meters, here in the town of Malolos. This was done to avoid the poles that were previously built, in the cancelled NORTH RAIL Project during the time of Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. And of course, this includes the station that is located next to the old PNR Malolos station.
