Their hands, numb from the cold, worked steadily, pulling ropes, hammering stakes, coaxing order out of ruin. Beneath the thin fabric they have created a fragile refuge — a temporary harbor from the wind and the memories — and yet the act of raising it is also an act of hope. In this makeshift tent they imagine a future beyond the debris, a time when the walls around them will be sturdy again and their lives no longer measured by loss but by the quiet strength with which they endured.
