ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ – ਵਰਣਨ

ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ, ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆਕ ਅਤੇ “ਹਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਚਾਦਰ” ਵਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹਨ। 1621 ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਨਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਧਿਰਜ, ਨਿਮਰਤਾ, ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਿਆਨਮਗਨ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਪਾਈ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ, ਨਾਮ-ਸਿਮਰਨ, ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਾਈ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਿਦ੍ਹਾਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੰਮੇ-ਲੰਮੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕੀਤੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ, ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ, ਧੀਰਜ, ਨਿਡਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

1675 ਵਿੱਚ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਰਬੋਤਮ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰੀ ਪੰਡਿਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦੁਨਿਆ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਦਵਿੱਤੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਸ਼ਕਾਮ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੇਵਾ, ਨਿਮਰਤਾ, ਨਿਰਭਉਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦੇ ਭਲੇ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਮਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the Ninth Guru of the Sikhs, is remembered as the “Hind dī Chādar” (Protector of India) for his unparalleled sacrifice to uphold religious freedom, human rights, and justice. Born in 1621 in Amritsar, Guru Sahib was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. He grew up with deep spiritual wisdom as well as warrior skills.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji lived a life of meditation, humility, compassion, and courage. He travelled widely to spread the message of Naam, Seva, and peace, guiding people toward Gurbani and righteousness.

In 1675, Guru Sahib gave the supreme sacrifice by choosing martyrdom to protect the Kashmiri Pandits and the right of every human being to practice their faith freely. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Shaheedi is a shining example of fearlessness, selflessness, and the highest spiritual strength.

His Bani, included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, brings messages of detachment, courage, truth, and God-awareness.
