We have attended the Wheeler County Bluegrass Festival in Fossil, Oregon for several years, but have not talked about the road there. Oregon Hwy 218 from Shaniko to Fossil is an experience in itself. Typical of roads in Oregon that go from East to West it is curvy and steep in places where it travels down into river valleys and back up onto the high plains. The vistas are amazing.
