Brooke & Haley; "When You Need A Place To Run To..." {For Laura} [HD]

This video is for a very special friend of mine. Today is her 18th birthday, and I wanted to do a little something to show how much I appreciate her. Now, she doesn't watch the show and probably won't get a lot of this video, but I think that our friendship is a lot like Brooke and Haley's and I wanted to show that to all of you. I think about how crazy it is that Brooke and Haley didn't meet until the sixth episode of the first season, and even then, we got to witness a seventeen year friendship over the rest of the series. I wanted to make this video as a tribute to someone that I consider to be my Haley. So, Laura, this is for you. Our friendship is a mirror image to that of Brooke and Haley. For instance, they didn't even like each other when they first met. To Brooke, Haley was just a bench-warming bookworm with poor taste in fashion, and to Haley, Brooke was known as the slutty cheerleading captain that never opened a book a day in her life. But they had two things in common, Nathan and Lucas. Ironically enough, when Lucas told Haley that he was falling for Brooke, he was warned she would be nothing but trouble for him. And after Brooke got wasted at a party, she really screwed up things between Haley and Nathan. It wasn't until Haley came home from being on tour and moved in with Brooke that they started to bond over-- you guessed it-- being over boys. Over the last nine seasons, Brooke and Haley's friendship became stronger through dealing with heartbreaks, pregnancies, Chris Keller, Rachel, psychos, kidnappings, and yeah, a hell of a lot more. Haley has always been there for Brooke, and vice versa. They always have each other's backs. Come to think of it, they've only had two fights and both lasted less than a day. Their friendship is so strong, and it makes sense that they became each other's maid of honor's and the godmothers of their children. They are, without a doubt, the strongest friendship I've ever seen, and not just on this show. If I didn't have my Haley, I don't know what I would do. Granted, our friendship does not match that of the seventeen year bond between Brooke and Haley, but it's starting to look pretty similar. Laura, thank you for everything you've done for me, everything you've supported me through, and every time you've ever made me laugh. You are my rock, and I am so glad that you have become the Haley to my Brooke. Happy birthday!
