Figure drawing secret: You may not believe this, but how you sharpen your pencil could mean the difference between a good drawing and a great drawing. This pencil sharpening lesson (Part 1) prepares the student or artist for various challenges that arise in the figure drawing process. The student will be pencil ready to cover a range of techniques—from drawing soft lines to hard lines, from drawing subtle descriptions of form to drawing more graphic and dramatic forms.
