Some generalizations of Bernstein polynomials
Prof. Dr. Alexey L. Lukashov
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University),
Moscow, Russia

Abstract: The probabilistic interpretation of Bernstein polynomials and several of their generalizations is discussed. In particular, the application of the inverse polynomial image method and its generalization to rational functions for approximation by such operators is demonstrated.

Biography:
Alexey Lukashov is the Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and professor of the department of higher mathematics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In 1993-2012 he was the head of the department of function theory and approximations at Saratov State University, Russia.
