Ever thought to yourself, "What's a vector image file? What's a raster image file? What's the difference? Which is better?" Never fear. We'll teach you in this educational video.
Vector vs. Raster
Raster images (most commonly JPG and PNG files), have a fixed number of pixels and will start to pixelate if you enlarge them beyond their original size. Vector-based graphics (most commonly EPS files), are based on mathematical expressions rather than pixels. This means that they can be scaled and resized infinitely without losing any quality. You can use Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw to edit vector files.
