David Aprahamian Liddle plays his ‘Quintessence’ from Partita Narrativa Op.23 on an 1868 2-manual Trayser harmonium. This is an appropriate title in more than one way: it is a reaction to the essential, brilliant nature of B major, and the music is in quintuple time. Tonus Peregrinus makes its first appearance here. Filmed and recorded on October 9 2018 by Michael Hendron.
