In this episode of my series “Walks in the New Forest”, I take a 4.5 mile Autumnal walk from the Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary located to the West of Lyndhurst. Once again I am accompanied by my Whippet, Logan.
I parked my car (for free) at the Forestry England car park at Bolderwood and made my way to check out the Deer Viewing Platform - which is not far from the car Park itself.
My route took me through the Bolderwood Grounds, past the Radnor Stone to Bratley Water at which point I headed East to join up with the Bolderwood Ornamental Drive.
I then headed South to explore Mark Ash Wood and Barrow Moor before returning to my car.
The Autumnal colours were magnificent in the woodland and I even came across some pigs happily eating acorns (I was filming during the Pannage season in the New Forest).
