Buddhism's Most Misunderstood Teaching

The Buddhist concept sunyata, emptiness, is one of the most misunderstood and mistranslated words from Sanskrit into other languages. Most people understand this concept on a superficial level, which leads people to believe that Buddhism is a philosophy centered on nihilism. But nothing could be further from the truth. This incorrect understanding unfortunately leads people away from Buddhism, and so they never actually engage in an exploration of the true nature of mind. But what really does sunyata mean? In this podcast, I will explain how we should understand sunyata and the implications of that wisdom.
