We finally made it back to the United States after a delay-filled trip—traveling with a baby, juggling luggage, and navigating airport chaos. In this video I share honest first impressions of being back: the convenience, the pace, and the reality check of America’s car culture versus the walkable life we had in Europe.
Within 48 hours I’ve already moved fast: applied to rent an apartment, scheduled test drives to see cars, and set up T-Mobile. I talk through what worked (and didn’t) when flying with a toddler, the admin sprint you run the moment you land, and how “getting things done” in America becomes its own momentum.
I also get real about the pull to return to Ukraine and why living here requires a different mindset. In the U.S., the path of least resistance can make you comfortable—and soft. In Europe, daily life pushes you to walk more, plan better, and stay fit. That contrast matters for health, family, and long-term goals.
If you’re relocating to the U.S., moving with a baby, or weighing Europe vs. America, this is a practical, no-sugarcoat look at what it takes and what it feels like.
