'O, swear not by the moon!'
After the Montague boys crash the Capulet's ball, Juliet contemplates her first meeting with Romeo and wishes that his family name didn't stand in the way of their love. Luckily for her, the walls of her estate certainly didn't stand in his way, and he joins her for what might be one of the most famous scenes in theatre.
Directed by Globe Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes, don't miss the final two weeks of this 'immaculate... irresistible' (The Guardian) production of Romeo and Juliet, playing in the Globe Theatre until 2 August 2025.
