No passado sábado, dia 17, Toronto celebrou a cultura açoriana com a inauguração do Azores Parkette, um novo espaço público que presta tributo à vibrante comunidade açoriano-canadiana.
Situado no coração de Little Portugal, na esquina da Dundas Street West com a Beaconsfield Avenue, este é o primeiro parque da cidade com uma identidade visual e cultural açoriana. A iniciativa reconhece a herança, o contributo e a resiliência dos emigrantes açorianos que ajudaram a construir a história do Canadá.

On Saturday, the 17th, Toronto marked a cultural milestone with the inauguration of the Azores Parkette, a new public space celebrating the vibrant Azorean-Canadian community.
Located in the heart of Little Portugal, at the corner of Dundas Street West and Beaconsfield Avenue, this is the city’s first park with a distinctly Azorean identity. The project honors the heritage, contributions, and perseverance of Azorean immigrants who helped shape Canada’s history.
