Create a novel scissor case! Ideal for scissors or small sewing items. It's just the way you fold the fabric that creates a most ingenious design.
The maths (groan!!!) is very simple - whatever the size of square you choose in the beginning - add 1/8th of the original size of the square to one side making a rectangle. When you fold up that edge - you fold up twice the measurement you added in the first place. i.e. starting with 16" square - you cut 16 x 18" plus seam allowance (16½ x 18½") then fold 4". Simple!!!!!!
