How to make Crucible Tools/Tongs for bigger castings

Our friend Collin gave us his veg-oil furnace, which is much larger than our old one (thanks Colin!).To go with it we have a new larger crucible so that we can pour enough aluminum to fill the big castings we want to make for the CNC router project (see    • Bigger castings, melting and making alloy ...  ). We need new tools to handle the bigger crucible, and this video shows how we made them from scrap materials.

Of course, this is all preposterously dangerous, and I wouldn't recommend anyone follow this untested example - especially if they don't own safety sandals!
