Unlike Pykara, Ooty Needle View Hillpoint is hidden away from public view and not frequented too much by tourists. Located on the Ooty-Mysore route in a place called Gudalur, what awaits the lone trekker is a sight that mesmerizes you beyond imagination.
Needle view hill point or Soochimalai is a place where you can literally "reach for the clouds". The peak and the clouds are at par and during the rare occasion when they separate you can see small villages, dotted among vast stretches of forests, in a distance.
The best month to visit Ooty depends on your preference, but March to June is ideal for pleasant weather and outdoor activities, making it the most popular time for tourists. October to February provides chilly, crisp weather perfect for those who enjoy colder temperatures and potential snowfall.
There are mild slopes and green tea firms that truly make your trip memorabilia of nature's excellence. In this way, Ooty offers an extremely charming escape for nature lovers as well as experienced tourists.
