Ingredients
For Béchamel Sauce:
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp butter
• ¾ cup all-purpose flour
• 6 cups milk (warm, added gradually)
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 egg (added off heat)
For Meat Sauce:
• 2 tbsp oil
• 300g ground beef
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1.5 cups pasta sauce
• ½ cup water
• ½ green pepper, diced
• ½ red pepper, diced
• ½ yellow pepper, diced
• 75g cheese (shredded – mozzarella or mix)
• Spices:
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• ½ tsp paprika
• ¼ tsp turmeric
• ¼ tsp coriander
• ¼ tsp cumin
• ½ tsp sugar
• Chili flakes/paprika (optional for heat)
For Pasta:
• Water (for boiling)
• 1 tbsp oil
• 1 tsp salt
• 500g penne pasta

👨🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
• Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
• Add 1 tbsp oil and the pasta.
• Cook until al dente, then drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Meat Sauce
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
2. Add ground beef and cook until browned
3. add chopped onions and garlic until soft.
4. Add peppers and sauté for 2–3 mins.
5. Stir in pasta sauce, water, spices, sugar, and cheese.
6 . add 1/2 cup water
7. Simmer for 10–15 mins until thickened. Set aside.

3. Make the Béchamel Sauce
1. In a large saucepan, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
2. Add flour and stir continuously for 2–3 minutes (don’t let it brown).
3. Gradually add warm milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
4. Keep stirring until thick and smooth.
5. Season with salt and black pepper.
6. reduce the heat. then whisk in the egg quickly to avoid scrambling.

4. Assemble the Dish
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a greased baking dish, add some of bashamel and spead
3.add some bashamel and some from the sauce with pasta mix it well
4.add the half of mixed pasta on the bashamel
5. Spread all the meat sauce over it.add some cheese on top
4. Top with remaining pasta.with some cheese
5. Pour béchamel sauce evenly on top, covering everything.
6. add some from the sauce
on top for a golden crust. in the last 5 mins add more cheese on the top

5. Bake
• Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
• Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.

🍽️ Serve
Cut into square portions and serve warm. It pairs wonderfully with a side salad or pickled vegetables
