Pink Floyd | Money | Instrumental Cover (Guitars, Bass, Keyboard, Sound Effects)

I want cover some other bands on my channel, so a Fender P-Bass has joined my collection! Here is my cover of Pink Floyd's 'Money'. Hope you enjoy!

The song opens with that iconic rhythmic sequence of sound effects, constructed into a tape loop. I thought I'd get a bit creative and do my best to recreate this.
The sounds I used to make this include:
Opening the cash register at my workplace.
Tearing a piece of paper
Running my hands along a keyboard
Coins dropping
The only piece of audio that I used from the original track is the 'bell-like' register. Apart from the introduction, the loop appears again briefly after the first verse.

Next the bass and guitar are introduced. One guitar track doubles the bass line for the entire song. When the drums kick in, two more guitar tracks enter. One is a more generic rhythm part, and the other is those distinct sustained tremolo chords.

The solo can be broken up into three different sections. The first is the 'wet' section. Double tracked, full of reverbs and delays. The second is the 'dry' section. Left channel only, and no effects. Then the third section uses a totally different guitar. Gilmour used a Fender Stratocaster for all guitar parts except this third section, which he used a custom 24 fret Bill Lewis guitar. For my cover I've used my Gibson SG, so that I can access those higher notes.

For me, the keyboard parts were a challenge. It took me a lot of attempts to get a usable take, and I mostly improvised it too. This is why the video might not always sync with the audio on this. I made a ton of edits. When the sax solo starts, Wright engages a Wah-Wah pedal on the Wurlitzer. In my cover, I set my MIDI keyboard mod wheel to a Wah-Wah VST, so that I can control it and play at the same time.

A few other notes to add:
I included some of the original vocal samples in the outro. It felt a bit bland without it.
The drums and saxophone solo are also included from isolated original tracks
Also in the outro, I gradually faded in some reverb on the rhythm guitar.
There is a piano included in the descending lines during the guitar solo.
