Japanese Firefly | Genji Botaru

Japan has several varieties of Firefly you can see across the country in early summer, the most common firefly in my area is the Genj-Botaru (Luciola Cruciata), these Firefly are the kind that fly in streaks and have a beautiful green glow, and Shiga prefecture is famous for them in the town of Moriyama where every year they hold the Hotaru Matsuri, or Firefly Festival.
