EDINBURGH'S major sporting stadiums: MURRAYFIELD, TYNECASTLE PARK, EASTER ROAD | DJI Mini 3

Whilst Edinburgh is known for its historic landmarks, the city is also a sporting destination and home to iconic stadiums.

Murrayfield, the home of Scottish Rugby has a capacity of 67,144, making it the 5th largest stadium in the UK by capacity. It was opened in 1925 and renovated in 1995 with its record capacity breaking 100,000 during the Five Nations match between Scotland and Wales in 1975. Nowadays, Murrayfield hosts all of Scotland Rugby's home fixtures as well as music concerts.

Tynecastle Park is the home of Heart of Midlothian FC, one of two Scottish Premiership football teams in Edinburgh. Opened in 1886, the stadium has a capacity of 19,852 and is situated in the Gorgie area of Edinburgh.

Easter Road, in the Leith area of Edinburgh is the home of Hibernian FC. It opened in 1893 and can hold 20,421 people. You can see the stadium from Arthur's Seat, a popular hike in the city. I had the pleasure of attending the Edinburgh Derby between Hibs and Hearts recently, in which Easter Road is shown in its very best light, you can find the video below.
