Animated Female Songs You NEED To Hear (from around the world)

Female songs in Disney animation films, or at large, Anglospheric animated films have long dominated and set the archetype for audiences across the globe who love these films. Lush orchestral background music, vibrato-laden, clear, and resonant vocals with musicality straight from the Great American Songbook (jazz, light opera etc), or since the 90s, from Broadway (theatrical singing, belt-heavy singing).

However, the way a female character (or soloist) sings in an animation film showcases great musical diversity across the globe, and I had a wonderful time going through multiple amazing female songs outside the realm of the Anglosphere and bring some of the most catchy, most memorable, and most interesting numbers to you. They might not all be dubbed in 50 different languages like Disney's songs usually do, but they are certainly worth a listen to feel the musical taste and culture of the area they originate from.

With this year Disney's magic waning, Dreamworks progressing to live-action remakes with HTTYD, animation saw a new rise in Eastern Asia, where China and Indonesia made strides with their new animation films Ne Zha 2 and Jumbo respectively breaking box office records within the countries. It's precisely what inspired me to make this video and I hope you guys enjoy it.
