Fagin, Bill Sikes, & Nancy learn that Oliver has been arrested after he is caught on his first pickpocketing attempt. Bill threatens Fagin and tries to make him go to court to make sure Oliver doesn't snitch on them. Nancy offers to go instead. Oliver is tight-lipped in he court and doesn't give up his friends, instead he finds a new home with the very man he attempted to steal from.
