The Empress Eugenie costume you can see in the Fashion & Textiles Gallery only the bodices belonged to the Empress. The ensemble was separated when the garments were sold in 1920s and the skirt went to a different buyer. The bodice and skirt are now on display for the very first time after being on display at the V&A. Rachel Whitworth, our Fashion & Textile curator tells us more about the new skirt.
