Andrew Maguire argues the CME and LBMA silver markets are fundamentally broken, as forced physical settlement dismantles the synthetic paper ratios. With bullion banks already forecasting gold between $4,800 and $5,500 for 2026, a simple realignment to the 2011 ratio dictates a minimum silver price of $150 to $172. However, liquidity providers are now modeling an $8,000 gold floor; under a physically driven 12:1 ratio, this targets a staggering $660 per ounce. Maguire draws a parallel to Basel III, predicting that, just as gold rallied 162% once it was physically backed, London will be forced to match the Shanghai Gold Exchange’s full-payment standard, driving silver well beyond the $140 "pit stop."
