A few weeks ago I tried (and failed) to repair a Teac PD-100 CD player. It's been bugging me ever since. In an attempt to finally resolve the issue, I purchased an 'identical' model from eBay so that I could compare readings between the two. The second one also needed repair, but I was hoping that it wouldn't have the same fault. It didn't - but it wasn't the only thing these players didn't have in common.
