The subject treated in this video concerns the source driver chip and its role in the management of data in an LCD screen. The internal constitution of this chip is developed. Several notions of electronics are approached like the flip-flops, the latch, the digital to analog converter and the way the Gamma voltages are used to restore the colors of the pixels composing an image. The operation of these different structures requires various signals coming from the TCON board. The role of the signals STH, CPH, TP, POL, SOE, STB is explained.
