In Cinderella Meets Fella (1938), Tex Avery delivers a zany twist on the classic fairy tale. When Cinderella's fairy godmother is late, she calls the police, who find the godmother in a bar. After some mixed-up magic, Cinderella arrives at the ball and meets Prince Charming, portrayed by an early version of Elmer Fudd. The story takes a modern turn when, instead of waiting for the prince, Cinderella heads to a Warner Bros. movie theater. This Merrie Melodies short is known for its satirical humor and early appearance of Elmer Fudd.
