This is a very interesting talk on sports science and analytics. There is a bit of history and then some modern implementations are discussed. Those interested in baseball, and in particular hitting, will be especially interested. There is a nice Q&A afterwards as well.

This talk explores how data analytics has revolutionized our understanding of athletic performance, specifically within the areas of baseball analytics and sport science. We will examine how analytics is used at Clemson to help our staff understand the numbers behind the game. We also will explore the Statcast revolution, showing its impact on scouting, player development, and decision-making, specifically from a mathematical perspective. --- I will be talking about all of baseball analytics, but with just a focus on hitting. I'm anticipating having enough for around 25-30 minutes as I have tried to make it a bit interactive.
