Officials at the Desert Botanical Garden are worried that heat could be at fault after nearly one-fifth of their Saguaro cacti have died over the last few years.
They say the garden is down to 800 Saguaros after once having more than 1,000.
Record-setting heat over the past three years, they say, is the cause.
