Marseilles Mini Vlog - Day trip by boat to Calanques National Park

Day trip to the Parc national des Calanques. We spent the day swimming in the bluest waters and sitting on the pebble beach reading.

The national park can be reached in one of two ways.
1) By boat as I did. There are several day trip experiences for those wanting to go and it makes for a fun and relaxing day.
2) By bus from central Marseilles [M2 then a transfer to the 21JET/B1]. There is a public bus that drops you off at the Campus de Luminy bus stop. It costs about 4 euros round trip. From the bus stop it is about a 3.5 KM walk down to the water. If you choose to go this route make sure you bring extra water and snacks. There are no water spouts - it can get very very hot on the hike down and out.

We swam at the Calanque de Sugiton. There is cliff jumping and the protected cove has a subtle current. There is a pebble beach that is on the smaller size but everyone fit comfortably. Optional, but absolutely worth it, is the hike to Belvédère de Sugiton [the observation deck].
