Crabbing in the Winter is a totally different game compared to crabbing in the Spring, Fall, or Summer. Many Crabs go into a dormant state and stay in deeper water making crabbing from shore much more difficult.
Florida had its first Cold Front with record low temperatures for early November and then warmed up again. Water temperatures have dropped significantly since the cold front and have yet to warm up due to colder nighttime temperatures and shorter days.
This was the time to test out if Crabbing in the winter is going to be worth the time put into it! That’s exactly what happens over 4 days in this video! Come along through this learning process and see if it is worth the time I put into it.
