From Ruined to Restored: Reviving an iPhone 12 Pro Max

It arrived in pieces—a shattered screen, a cracked back, and a dying battery. But today, I was bringing this iPhone 12 Pro Max back to life.

Breaking It Down
I began by removing the SIM tray, screws, and screen, carefully disconnecting the delicate internal components. With the help of isopropyl alcohol, I pried out the old battery and set aside the triple camera module, front camera, flash, and LiDAR sensor for safekeeping.

Replacing the Broken Parts
The cracked back glass had to go. Using a heat blower at 380°C, I carefully lifted it, ensuring the wireless charging coil remained intact. Then came the upgrades—a brand-new OLED screen, a fresh battery, and a pristine rear glass. I meticulously transferred the Face ID module to maintain full functionality.

Final Touches & The Big Reveal
After securing all connectors and running a full test, I sealed the back with B7000 glue, clamped it for 24 hours, and gave it a final polish. The result? A flawless, like-new iPhone, ready for a second chance.
