Sporting Jax Aquatic Club Head Coach: Steve Jungbluth

In this episode, I sit down with Steve Jungbluth, a highly accomplished collegiate swim coach with nearly three decades of experience across Division I and Division III programs. Steve spent 12 years at the University of Florida, contributing to the Gators’ success with multiple SEC titles, NCAA podium finishes, and the development of some of the fastest swimmers in program history. His career includes coaching NCAA champions, Olympians, and Olympic gold medal performances, including world-record holder Caeleb Dressel.

We dive into Steve’s approach to building programs and athletes, including how he helped transform Colgate University into Patriot League champions—one of the most challenging and rewarding chapters of his career. He also shares how he helped build Florida’s sprint program into one of the best in the country, and why he believes every set, drill, and detail must have a clear purpose to drive long-term development and performance.
