How to Recover Car AC Refrigerant at Home | DIY Refrigerant Recovery

In this video I'm going to show you how to recover your car's refrigerant and how to put that same refrigerant back in the system after doing your repairs. So anytime you would have to do major AC repairs, you would have to do what I'm showing you in this video.

To get this done you are going to need a manifold gauge set, a recovery unit, and a storage tank. The recovery equipment will cost you about $500 if you own none of it but, having 1 recovery and recharge done at a professional shop locally was about $200. So if you use this setup twice, it will have nearly paid for itself on it's 2nd use.

This setup is very slow to recover vs a professional machine. So if you're running a shop, the setup I show in this video probably isn't for you. The nice thing is this setup I have in this video is about $500. A professional recovery and recharge machine that you would find in a professional shop is about $3000-$5000. So as you would imagine, this $500 setup is much slower, and is much more manual.
