What Happens When You Format a Book With Reedsy for Print?

Reedsy Studio has a lot of great functionality for those looking to publish a book. However, it lacks some of the book formatting capabilities of other writing apps. In this video, I'll show you what Reedsy offers in terms of a printed book using its formatting tools.

I show how the different pages appear in Kingmaker, my first fictional book that was created entirely in Reedsy Studio for free. The formatting and pages came out well, and a lot of how it appears is thanks to the printing presses for Amazon. The book I show in the video is an author copy directly from KDP.

The premise of Reedsy Studio is to help authors easily publish books. Unfortunately, Reedsy only has three formatting options when it comes to the layout and appearance of the manuscript. It's something that I hope Reedsy addresses in the near future.

Regardless, the basics of Reedsy Studio book formatting helped deliver a nice-looking novel without all of the bells and whistles of other apps. In my opinion, Reedsy Studio is great for new authors looking to get their feet wet with self-publishing.

Then, I show the comparison of Atticus and how it has a lot more options for book formatting. The trade-off is that Atticus is a one-time payment of $147, whereas Reedsy Studio can help publish your book for free.
