[Bar 2] Slide between different strings
Finger 4 (2nd string, 9th fret, note G#), after playing the open note A,
slides to the 5th fret, so finger 2 goes to the 3rd fret.
[Bar 7] Slide between different fingers
Finger 3 (2nd string, 5th fret, note E) slides to
the 3rd fret, the right distance from which finger 1 can start, hammering, on the 1st fret.
[Bar 31] Finger 4 must be held
to the exact value of ♩, even though doing so makes playing the bass notes more difficult.
[Bar 53] There are no fixed egos on the guitar; everything depends on the context.
In this case, for example, it's best to play the E note (2nd string, 5th fret) with finger 4,
rather than the usual finger 3, to conform to the following passage.

[Bar 55] I replaced the usual finger 3 with finger 2 (3rd string, 7th fret, note D),
because I need it in the following C chord.
